Fitter Machinist/Welder

A FullTime Position has become available in our Company, A probation period. will be required. Applicants will be required to have a Trade Certificate, Be able to assist with handling Large heavy Equipment, have a current driver’s license and have knowledge with the operation of engineering machines.

Our Company Manufactures & Repairs Large Irrigation Equipment, Which Includes Pumps, Gear Drives & Agricultural; Cotton Gin & Mining Equipment.

The Successful Applicant will be required to carry out the following:

* Study drawings & specifications to determine the correct material, sequence of operations and machine settings.

* Fitting fabricated metal parts into products and assembling metal parts and sub assemblies to produce or repair equipment.

* Checking fabricated and assembled metal parts for accuracy, clearance and fit using precision measuring instruments.

* Using machining tools to turn, mill, thread ( internal & external), cut grind, bore and drill metal components.

* Repairing mechanical parts and fluid power equipment.

* Equipment to be used: Centre Lathe with 1.5 - 3.5M Bed, Milling Machines, Slotter Shaping Machine, Surface Grinder, Vertical Borer, Horizontal Borer, Drilling Machine, Power Tools, Stick Welder & Mig Welder & BandSaw.

* Machine to a Tolerance on both the Inside & Outside Diameters.

* Use Micrometers for Measuring.

* Mark out Parts required for Irrigation & Farm, Mining or Cotton Gin Repairs.

Additional Job Requirements:

Use Oxygen & Acetylene to Cut and Heat Components.

Braze Components.

Safety Clothing Required which includes: Safety Work Boots, Long Sleeve or Short Sleeve Shirts, Trousers

Hours of Work:

38 Hours Per Week Normally

Overtime Available during Peak Periods

Have a Minimum of 3 Years of experience as a Fitter Machinist/Welder

Have Qualifications related to this trade

Be capable of interpreting engineering specifications during manufacturing, select and prepare appropriate materials for assembly, and assemble as required by our High Standards

Check and Maintain fine tolerances in assembly

Confidently assemble, instal and test mechanical components

Have a great attitude, a willingness to learn and enjoy working in a supportive team environment

The Base Rate for the successful Applicant will be Between $70, 000 and $82, 000 per year depending on experience. If you have what it takes we look forward to hearing from you

4 Weeks Holiday Leave and 10 Days Sick/Personal Leave Provided
