SMT Team Leader

Our client is an Australian company recognized for making world-class air conditioners. Their wide range of reliable and energy efficient products includes wall hung splits, multi head units, cassettes, low profile ducted systems, split ducted systems, and packaged units. They are Australia owned and operated meaning that these units are built specifically for our own conditions, also being able to provide support all around Australia.

They are looking for an SMT Team Leader/Operator to help them achieve these goals.

Responsibilities:

• Proficient operation of Surface Mount Technology (SMT) equipment to ensure optimal performance.


• Manage job receipting and component picking/sorting.


• Operate SMT machines and troubleshoot errors, escalating issues to the direct manager as necessary.


• Conduct and understand the importance of quality checks.


• Monitor product standards and escalate any identified issues.


• Lead and manage the SMT afternoon shift team members.

Essential Criteria:

• SMT experience is highly preferred.


• Experience programming Yamaha S20 Pick & Place machine is highly regarded.


• Experience with programming and process variation activities on SPI, AOI, Stencil Printer, and Reflow Oven is highly regarded.


• Demonstrated ability to follow stringent process procedures and controls.


• Proven leadership experience.


• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to provide solutions to production issues.
