    About the role


    We are looking for a Controls and Electrical Technical Advisor to provide technical support for Parker Point and East Intercourse Island fixed plant operations.


    This role is a great opportunity for someone who can communicate well, is passionate about working safely and is eager to learn more. Reporting to the Senior Advisor Controls and Electrical, you will:



    • Provide technical advice for control systems and electrical issues in daily production meetings

    • Work closely with the electrical maintenance team to diagnose and rectify faults

    • Deliver reliability improvements for fixed plant operations

    • Engage in maintenance projects and defect-elimination activities

    • Create effective handovers and demonstrate effective communication with your peers

    • Coach and develop the technical capabilities of electricians and apprentices

    • Capturing and management of technical knowledge and information for electrical assets

    • Collaborate with key stakeholders in Maintenance, Operations and Project Teams.


    What you’ll bring


    To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:



    • Minimum 5 years of fixed plant maintenance experience, preferably at a bulk material handling port

    • Demonstrated capability in troubleshooting and tuning through Schneider PLC

    • Experience in making updates to SCADA/HMI (AVEVA Wonderware)

    • LV variable speed drive competency (ABB experience advantageous)

    • Current C-class driver’s license

    • A Class electrical license

    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

    • Ability to work autonomously.

    • Experience with asset management processes and practices (SAP, work management)

    • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team


    Where you’ll be working


    Our port facilities consist of four shipping terminals located on the Pilbara coast at Dampier and Cape Lambert which form an essential part of our logistics process. Each terminal has facilities for train unloading, iron ore stockpiling, product blending and ship loading.
